Pet Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy is a minimally invasive technique used to examine the large intestines as well as the colon and rectum of a pet with a fiber-optic viewing scope known as an endoscope. A colonoscopy is often performed after radiographs (X-rays) and an abdominal ultrasound to further evaluate patients with weight loss or diarrhea.

DIFFERENT USES FOR COLONOSCOPY
Colonoscopy allows us to perform a visual examination of the large intestines, colon, and rectum. This procedure helps in the following instances:
- Further, evaluate patients with weight loss or chronic diarrhea
- Obtain tissue samples (biopsy) for cytologic and histologic evaluation. Samples are evaluated for inflammation, infection, fibrosis, and cancer
